Weekend Getaway

Hello Hapi People!

Hapi Monday! I know that's a total oxymoron but I hope you had a good weekend. I had a wonderful weekend with a much needed getaway. Sometimes removing yourself from the familiarity of everyday life can be very beneficial for you. I know that I feel refreshed and ready to face my challenges. Zach and I took two little trips at the last minute because we felt the need to try something different. We also found a new way to bond by simply going to new places together and sharing the experiences.

Anywho, I thought I would share some pictures with you of my two little getaways. I went with Zach (my boyfriend if you don't already know), Friday to Destin, FL to the Destin Harborwalk.  Its this cute little tourist boardwalk with restaurants, shopping, games and boat charters and rentals. Its a beautiful little beachy town. Then Saturday, we went out to the country to a little place called Atmore, AL. My father owns a cabin on a lake there and he let us use it for the day.

Here are some pictures of Destin. I know if you are a local you have probably been to Destin at some point. However if you haven't its a lovely getaway that has tourist spots and more low key places. The Destin Harborwalk, the boardwalk, is right on the water and its a beautiful place to explore. Friday night in Destin was so much fun and we really enjoyed ourselves.

We went to a place called Harry T's for dinner.

A beautiful view from the deck.

I love sunset colors.
And I love cranes lol

Now onto Atmore! I didn't take too many pictures here. There was not much reception and we decided to kind of go technology free for a bit. This was Zach's first time at the cabin so I spent most of the time showing him around. We enjoyed a Saturday afternoon walking through the woods and enjoying the scenery. My dad and brother joined us later and I grilled steaks, yummy! I will share some older photos so you can see the cabin. We also went to an arcade at a casino owned by a local Poarch Creek tribe called Wind Creek Casino. Neither one of us are gamblers so we just went to the arcade and got frozen yogurt lol. Embracing our inner kids!

Zach was loving this Batman game at the arcade lol

It was a whirlwind weekend of fun. I'm glad Zach and I got to enjoy some much needed fun. I know he is getting ready for his spring plays at school so he is busy and stressed. I hope you enjoyed the photos of our weekend. Let me know what you did this weekend in the comments, on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. #hapiweekend

Peace&Love,
Amy
